All characters the top 100 MR ranked players are using in Street Fighter 6 where only 1 is totally absent

Three weeks ago, Capcom introduced a better way to rank top players based on their performance in Street Fighter 6 through the Master Rate system.

After seeing BST|Daigo Umehara reach number one in the world for a time and the caliber of other competitors up there, it got us very curious to see which characters each of the top 100 MR ranked players are using right now.

As of the time of reporting, Ken is unsurprisingly the most used fighter out of the top SF6 players with 16 bringing him high into the Master Ratings followed by JP at 13 and Cammy at 11.

Overall, there were six characters who are seeing a higher rate of play than the statistical average with the last three being Juri, Chun-Li and Luke.

We counted 8 characters in total used among the top 20 players while there were 16 among the top 40 only leaving out Ryu, Rashid and Manon.

Despite being the third-most picked character in Platinum through Master rank in July, Ryu was the only fighter not to have a single player take him to the top 100 at all.

Moreover, Lily was the only other fighter who didn't have at least two users make it that far up, so even the new Rashid managed to squeak in two with DFM|John Takeuchi being the top ranked one at 48th currently.

While there is an okay spread throughout the list as a whole, it's certainly becoming more clear that certain characters are apparently having a much easier time getting win streaks at the top between Ken, JP and Cammy though it is interesting to see Chun-Li hanging in there with Juri too.

As discussed in the previous Daigo story, Master Rate ranks are very different from current League Point ranks due to it better gauging who is actually winning the most instead of who is playing the most, so this should provide a hopefully more accurate picture of those that can be considered the best online in the world.
